Our History
In April of 1988 Dryden Air Services began operations at the Dryden Ontario airport providing ramp and counter services for Ontario Express Limited. Over the years the business grew into locations like Ottawa, Sudbury and Thunder Bay Ontario all for OEL, Canadian Airlines International and Canadian Regional Airlines operations. In 1992 our relationship with Canadian Regional resulted in Dryden’s expansion into the province of Saskatchewan, providing ground-handling services at the Saskatoon and Regina airports. After the demise of Canadian Airlines, Dryden Air Services continued to handle a variety of mainline scheduled carriers, all the winter charter airlines and most other ad hoc airlines flying into these airports. Today Dryden handles freight for several major cargo airlines, and passenger services for many airlines providing regularly scheduled service, along with many domestic and international airlines that fly into these two locations on an ad hoc basis.
In 2000 Dryden Air Services expanded into Winnipeg and began servicing Royal Cargo and Royal Airlines. Later Canada 3000 was added along with Calm Air from Thomson Manitoba. Today Dryden provides ramp services to several air service providers and most ad hoc airlines flying into this airport. Our cargo handling capabilities allow us to service every aircraft type from single engine propeller to a Boeing 747-400.
In October of 2008, Dryden Air Services was acquired by Icarus Resources and continues to operate as an efficient and reliable ground-handing service provider to both domestic and international airlines with passenger and cargo-related operations. Our three locations continue to service over 50 different airlines, both passenger and cargo. For a list of our clients, please see our Customers and Partners page.
